    About Julianne

    Julianne Bruce, Massage Therapist

Julianne built a practice based on meeting clients’ individual needs, striving to relieve pain and encouraging a lifestyle where self care is recognized as necessary for good health. She offers Swedish Massage for a deeply relaxing experience; deep-tissue rehabilitation massage to release those painful adhesions (“knots”); maternity massage to ease the unique problems of the pre- and post-natal body; infant and child massage because even our littlest people suffer from stress and tension; and Ashiatsu, the deepest, most luxurious massage on the planet™.

Julianne’s clients are a diverse group with a common goal:

to feel better! New parents and empty nesters receive massage because they realize that they need to take care of themselves. People in chronic pain come to Julianne for her personal knowledge of what living a life of suffering is about. Computer users of all types, from students and gamers to secretaries and programmers, seek massage to ease their tight shoulders, arms and hands. Seniors enjoy Julianne’s careful work on their maturing bodies. No matter who in on her table, Julianne takes the time to get to know their needs and provide personalized relief to each precious, unique individual.

Julianne is a 2002 graduate of Carlson College of Massage Therapy in Anamosa, Iowa. She was nationally certified by the NCBTMB the same year. She has advanced training in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar TherapyŽ; maternity massage, infant massage and geriatric massage. Julianne enjoys continuing education, as well as broadening her knowledge of anatomy and physiology on an informal basis.

    Book an Appointment at Knotworks

Please Note: Due to a family situation, I will be out of the studio until the first week in July. You may schedule for the following week. However, if you'd like to come in sooner, please add that to the Notes on your appointment form. If I'm able to return to the office sooner, I'll contact you to reschedule you at an earlier date.

In the meantime, if you need bodywork prior to my return, please contact my colleague, Laura Evans, at Hush Therapeutic Massage (www.hushstudio.com). She is an excellent therapist, and you can trust her for an excellent massage.
